Severn Lamb completes projects in Qatar and India |
Transport engineering systems manufacturer Severn Lamb has completed two more turnkey projects, one in Qatar and another in India. The company secured a contract in 2011 for the supply and installation of a 1.6km long rail track and the design and manufacture of a 24in gauge Arrow River locomotive and three coaches in a contract for the Al Khor Park in Qatar. With delivery scheduled for June 2012, the capacity of the train is 36 adults/children. Elsewhere, Severn Lamb has supplied a new train to the Urban Improvement Trust in Kota, India, with delivery having taken place in May. The turnkey package included the supply and installation of the track and a 24in gauge Lincoln diesel hydraulic locomotive with two coaches, each seating up to 36 adults.
